BasCo nitrogen blanketing valves are important components installed on the top of storage tanks and are used to protect tank safety. As precision pressure regulating devices, they are generally set to open when the internal tank pressure is lower than the minimum operating pressure of the storage tank, such as during tank discharge or when the tank temperature decreases, in order to prevent excessively low tank pressure.
BasCo series nitrogen blanketing valves provide inert gas nitrogen protection for storage tanks. They help prevent vacuum formation when liquid is withdrawn from the tank, maintain the required protective gas pressure when the temperature drops, and prevent external air from contaminating the storage tank or forming a flammable or explosive atmosphere.
BasCo nitrogen blanketing valves are designed and manufactured in strict accordance with international standards such as API2000.

Applicable Operating Conditions
1. Preferred Applicable Media
Suitable for all media that are sensitive to oxidation, moisture absorption, deterioration, volatilization, flammability, or explosion, providing comprehensive protection.
2. Standard Operating Condition Combination
Atmospheric storage tank / low-pressure storage tank + slight positive pressure nitrogen sealing + self-operated control without electricity or external air supply
3. Cross-Industry General Applications
General industrial applications in chemical, food, pharmaceutical, and other industries.
-
Safe and Stable Pressure Protection
BasCo nitrogen blanketing valves are installed on the top of storage tanks and serve as precision pressure protection valves. They are set to open at low pressure and are suitable for negative pressure trend conditions such as tank discharge and tank temperature reduction.
-
Medium Loss Reduction
BasCo nitrogen blanketing valves introduce nitrogen or inert gas to form a slight positive pressure nitrogen blanketing layer, effectively suppressing the volatilization of liquid media inside the tank, greatly reducing material evaporation loss, and saving production costs.
-
Anti-Corrosion, Anti-Contamination, and Explosion Prevention
They isolate atmospheric pollutants, including moisture, from entering the tank, preventing media from absorbing water and deteriorating, as well as preventing corrosion of the inner tank wall. Inert nitrogen is non-flammable and does not support combustion, reducing the risk of combustion and explosion of flammable media from the source, with no air pollution caused by leakage.
-
Zero External Leakage
With diaphragm sealing and a packing-free structure, they prevent medium contamination and nitrogen loss.
-
Pure Mechanical Self-Operated Operation
No power supply, air supply, or instrument dependency is required. The valve automatically regulates opening and closing only through the pressure difference between the tank pressure and the nitrogen source pressure, ensuring energy-saving, safe, and maintenance-free operation.
-
High-Precision Pressure Stabilization and Fluctuation Resistance
BasCo nitrogen blanketing valves are equipped with patented pressure-balanced valve core technology. Fluctuations in nitrogen source pressure within a wide range of 0.07~1.38MPa do not affect the set value. The pressure control accuracy can reach ±3%, ensuring precise and stable pressure regulation.
